Q + A

Do I need a travel visa?

Yes, all foreign passport holders need a travel visa to India. This can be obtained online. You should look to apply for a travel e-visa. You'll need a passport to do this, and you'll need to pay a fee of about $25. We recommend applying for the travel e-visa at least one month in advance of your flight. The turnaround time tends to be pretty quick (less that 48 hours), but it's better to have extra time in case there's an issue with the application.

How long will it take to adjust to the time difference?

The time difference between the US east coast and Delhi is 10.5 hours. Days and nights are essentially flipped! In Sara's experience, it has taken about 3 days to adjust to the difference.

How can we travel around Delhi?

It's very easy and relatively inexpensive to Uber around the city, so we recommend this! If you're feeling adventurous, there are also plenty of auto rickshaws for hire. And finally, you can also easily hire a private car/driver for your stay.

Where will the wedding events take place?

The Sangeet (on March 16) and the Wedding and Reception (on March 18) will take place at Eros Hotel. If you are staying there, no need to travel! The Haldi and Mehndi (on March 17) will take place at a venue called Zorba, which is about a 30 minute drive from the hotel. We will arrange transportation from the Eros Hotel to Zorba.
